Doing some good in Kwa Dukuza

Hahahahahahahaha Atta boy Cody!!! Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha!!!! ;) (He is responding to the picture of Cody and Sharee kissing, above)!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

MOM!!! It is soooooooo great to hear about you meeting with the President about working in the temple and as well being in the Easter pageant! I can't wait for you to begin!! :) That'll be great!! I'm sure you will think about being in the Pageant forever, :) because you've always wanted to be in it! haha Even with the temple work though! I'm jealous!!!

We played rugby last week and we're playing this day as well! By the way my shout out goes to the tumeke or should I say the USA touch team because they are preparing for the world cup coming very soon! I'm with ya in spirit guys!!!!! Run hard!

Well, this week was very nice! We have been searching for those that are prepared to hear our message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have had success in finding them too. The people here have been saying that they haven't seen work like this in a while :) Those comments make us happy because it helps us to know that we ARE doing some good, even when it seems hard. I have really enjoyed my time here. I didn’t know I would enjoy it this much, but come to think of it I always feel like that in a new area....But it always leaves me in tears when I leave.....(metaphorically speaking of course) hahaha But we are making a small, small difference here in Kwa Dukuza but a difference none the less.....I love you!!! Have a great week! :) Love you!!!!!!!

Happy Valentine's!

I hope Caleb is having a great time being home... I love that guy! ;) My companion (now) reminds me a lot of him haha :) Steven is coming home too! I was thinking about that! Hope you'll be able to attend his talk!
So we have had quite the week here! Working in the township....walking in heat.....working at the hospital (we volunteer at the pharmacy) it's actually really cool! They get to know us and we have had a great time with the wonderful people there. There was a dear brother who needed help that went to the hospital and out of all the places to send him the workers sent him to us at the church because of our relationship with them.
So for Valentine’s Day we just did normal work but I wore a tie with red to give a little bit to the festivities. haha We also made a cake with a mom...She is soooooo dear to me.....and I can say it's mostly because the love the Lord has put into my heart. I love that :)
Also this week we talked with our President. He finally broke off the relationship that I had with the area uLundi...He told me it won't happen in "our" missions....but I said....at least we got to do all we could neh. Eish it's tough to accept though :(
I also got to speak with Mathebula too! I love that guy! He just called and I answered. He only speaks to me in Zulu now ;) haha it’s nice. When I'm home I'm sure he'll continue to give me opportunities to speak it. :)
Well Mama I love you very much! But I'm going to go play some TOUCH RUGBY!!! YAYAYAYAYAYA!!! :) haha Have a nice week!
P.S. my ankle is swollen from some activities that may or may not be due to working out....but I'm playing anyways ;) Don't act like you're surprised! :P hahaha Love you!!!

Making the Most of it!

Yea it's a melting pot here!
That's great to hear about Jon too!
I'll miss Pres. Laney :( DANG!!! I'm glad that they're going on their mission though! It's sweet!!!
So my week was good! We have been WORKING and it's sooooo hot here. We walk a LOT now...Going house to house trying as hard as we can....Most of the time.....ends with nothing but a sweat soaked shirt haha Oh well :) Yea so we have been working with MANY people from the township but also working with a part member family....the husband knows the bible very well....well enough that he agrees with most of the doctrine because he knows it's true but we'll see what the Lord will do with him as we try!! I hope for the best.....never expecting the worst.
Anyways......I've learned some great things this week. We need to let others exercise agency but as well correct with love if we need to.
By the way....there is this guy in my branch that sounds like king Julian from Madagascar movie....he has great sayings :P One is, " We aren't suppose to judge, but we can see darkness in people....." hahahahahhahahaha Funny guy. Anyways...I love you! :) Have a great week!!!

A Melting Pot!

SO a few things to explain about the area I am serving in now....there is a branch in a township that is far from town, but it has 9 members so we are trying to build up that area also....It is a nice place and is very big and could become another area...Some people here are convert Christians, but the majority are Hindu. They also speak English. It's basically the only language they know but it is broken! haha I am learning a little of their two oldest languages....Tamal(sp) and Hindi. It's nice...I’ve got the greetings down and my Zulu is still getting better :) haha I work in the township here MOST of the time....there are all types of people here!
I hope you have a GREAT week! :) LOVE YOU!!!!
